War Academy
The War Academy is a deep upgrade tree you pay into with in-game $BREAD to make your army fight better. Every upgrade here improves combat, mobility, espionage, or how well your vault protects loot — and nothing more.

The Academy is not pay-to-win. None of these upgrades touch your bakery traffic, prices, wheat, or income, so no amount of spending here can raise your season revenue or your leaderboard rank. It only changes how you do in a fight. It is also soft $BREAD only — purchases never touch any cashable balance.
The whole tree is season-wiped: it resets to nothing each new season, just like your bakeries and troops, so a veteran starts every season on equal combat footing.
The three branches
Each branch has five tiers, bought one at a time, and gets steeply more expensive as you climb. Pick the branch that fits how you play.
Drill Hall — attack
Raises your whole army's attack power. The five tiers run from +6% at the first rung up to +50% at the top (passing through +14%, +24%, and +36%). Build this if you raid and sabotage a lot.
Bastion — defense
Makes your bakeries harder to crack. Each tier adds garrison defense (from +8% up to +60%) and, from the second tier on, a flat chunk of building defense (up to +400). Build this if you are a juicy target who would rather not be.
Vanguard — speed, spying & vaults
A toolbox of tactical edges:
- Forced March (tier 1): -10% raid and sabotage travel time.
- Counter-Intel (tier 2): enemy scouts are -25% likely to read your defenses.
- Deep Vaults (tier 3): your vault protects +50% more loot from raiders.
- Hardened Mortar (tier 4): your buildings take -30% sabotage damage.
- Blitz Doctrine (tier 5): -25% travel time and +1 simultaneous outgoing attack.
War Banners
Once you want to keep spending past the five tiers, buy War Banners. Banners are uncapped — you can keep buying them — and each one adds +2% attack and +2% defense on top of your branches.
Each banner costs more than the last, so they are a deliberate money sink for the rich rather than a runaway advantage: the cost climbs faster than the benefit, so banners drain a fat balance without ever letting one player snowball the season.

Everything in the Academy is a combat tool. It will win you fights, protect your loot, and move your troops faster — but the leaderboard is still decided by the bread you sell, not the $BREAD you pour into the Academy.
