Defense

Defense

Every bakery you own can be attacked, so defense is something you build up over the whole season - not something you turn on once. Your defense comes from three things stacked together.

1. Your garrison

Troops stationed at a bakery defend it. Guards are your backbone here - they're built purely for defense and can never leave, so they only ever protect their home bakery. Snatchers, Bruisers, and Wreckers sitting in the garrison also add to the defense if they happen to be home when an attack lands.

2. Defensive amenities

Some amenities add to a bakery's defensive strength, making your garrison effectively tougher. A vault is special: it shields a portion of the wheat and $BREAD stored there, so even a successful raider can't haul off everything - your protected reserves stay put. Defensive amenities can themselves be damaged by sabotage, so keep an eye on their condition.

3. The shield after a raid

When one of your bakeries is successfully attacked, it gets a temporary shield that blocks further attacks for a while. This stops a single bad raid from turning into someone farming you over and over. The shield is a breather, not a wall - it wears off, so use the time to rebuild your garrison.

Reinforcements

Clanmates can send troops to reinforce your bakery. Reinforcing troops join your defense and fight alongside your own garrison when an attack lands. A well-defended clan member is much harder to crack than a lone player.

Don't leave wheat and $BREAD sitting unprotected. Vaulted reserves and a real garrison are what turn your bakery from an easy target into one raiders skip.
