The Empire Shield buys your whole empire 24 hours of immunity from raids and sabotage for a flat 250,000 $BREAD. While it's up, no one can attack any of your bakeries. Buy it from the Empire Shield menu.

It's a premium expense paid in soft $BREAD only — a money sink for the wealthy, not a payout or anything cashable.

A combat pause, not a fortress

The catch keeps it fair: while your shield is active, you can't raid or sabotage anyone either. It pauses combat in *both* directions. The shield is a breather — to sit out a war or protect a fat balance — not a way to hide behind a wall while still farming everyone else.

Rules to know

• Not stackable. You can't buy a second shield while one is active, so there's no extending it into permanent safety.
• Cooldown after it ends. Once a shield expires there's a 24-hour cooldown before you can buy another, which caps your shielded time at roughly half of any stretch — no one chains shields into forever-immunity.
• It covers everything you own, including a bakery you build during the window.

Think of the Empire Shield as a planned timeout. It's expensive, it locks you out of attacking, and it can't be kept up forever — so use it to weather a storm, then get back in the fight.
