Getting Started

Your First Bakery

You start with a stake

The moment your account is created you receive a starter stake to get going:

  • 500 $BREAD to spend
  • 50 Wheat to get your first customers served

That is enough to build your first bakery and start earning right away.

Step 1: Pick a plot and build

Open the map and look for buildable land. Tap an empty buildable plot and choose Build. Your very first bakery is the cheapest tier, the Roadside Stall. Building costs the bakery price plus the cost of the plot, and bigger, fancier plots in busier areas cost more.

New buildings take time to construct. A small Roadside Stall finishes quickly; larger bakeries take much longer. You can only have one building under construction at a time, so plan your next move while you wait.

You start with room for a small number of bakeries. To own more locations, you upgrade your franchise license later.

Step 2: Set your price and earn

Once your bakery is open, set the price of your bread. Price too high and customers go elsewhere; price too low and you barely make a margin. You can adjust it anytime as you learn the market.

Every cycle, customers visit and you earn $BREAD, but only if you have Wheat in reserve. Wheat is the fuel that lets your bakeries serve customers, so keep an eye on it.

Step 3: Get Wheat flowing

Your 50 starter Wheat will run down as you sell. To keep earning, build a Wheat Farm on a tile that has a wheat deposit. Wheat Farms steadily produce Wheat for your whole empire, so one farm can supply several bakeries.

From there the plan is simple: earn, reinvest, expand. Upgrade your bakeries, add amenities, and grow.
