Sabotage

Sabotage

Sabotage is an attack that wrecks an enemy's buildings instead of stealing their resources. Where a raid is about loot, sabotage is about damage - knocking out the amenities and defenses a rival has paid to install.

To run one, send a force that includes at least one Wrecker on a sabotage mission. Wreckers are the unit that actually does the damage, so the more that survive the fight, the more harm they do.

What sabotage does

  • Your troops travel to the target and fight its defenders, just like a raid.
  • If your attackers win and Wreckers survive, they chip away at the target's amenities. Damaged amenities work worse; an amenity beaten down far enough is destroyed outright and has to be rebuilt.
  • Leftover damage can also add general wear to the building, which the owner then has to pay to repair.

Sabotage doesn't steal wheat or Dough - use a raid for that. Sabotage is for softening a rival up: tearing down their defensive amenities before a raid, or punishing someone by forcing expensive repairs.

Sabotage still has to win the fight first. If the target's defenders beat your attackers, your Wreckers die on the doorstep and nothing gets damaged. Clear the defense (or pick a soft target) before you commit Wreckers.

The same rules as raids apply: you can't sabotage your own bakeries or a clanmate, new players are protected, and a freshly-attacked bakery is briefly shielded.
