Beginner Protection

Beginner Protection

When you first join a season, you get a protection window so you can find your feet without getting raided on day one. During this window your bakeries can't be raided or sabotaged by other players.

This gives you time to learn the game safely - build your first bakery, set up a Wheat Farm, start earning $BREAD, and recruit a starting garrison before anyone can come after you.

It works both ways

The same window that protects you also stops you from attacking other players. You can't raid or sabotage anyone while you're still under beginner protection. The idea is that the protected period is for building up, not for landing free hits and then hiding.

So use the window to:

  • Get a real economy going - bakeries, a Wheat Farm, and steady $BREAD income.
  • Recruit Guards and defensive amenities so you're ready when protection ends.
  • Scout the map and learn who your neighbors are.

Protection runs out. Once your window closes you become a normal target, so don't wait until the last minute to set up your defense. A bakery full of resources and no garrison is the first thing raiders look for.

Note that computer-run (NPC) bakeries don't get this protection - they're fair game right away, which makes them a safe place to practice attacking. New players, though, are off-limits until their window ends.
